Wedding photography at Aswarby Rectory
Tucked away in the Lincolnshire countryside, this gorgeous Georgian house is the perfect backdrop to a laidback big day.
Lovingly restored by its current owners in 2018, the interiors of this stunning house are the epitome of understated elegance.
Carefully chosen furnishings and pared-back décor give the place a truly timeless, classic feel and there are so many gorgeous photo opportunities – from the dappled light of the leafy trees in the gardens to the bedrooms which are flooded with light from the full-length sash windows.
It caters for up to 80 people during the day and 120 people at night, but I’ve also photographed much smaller weddings here and its warm, comforting feel works just as well for these.
Winter Weather Wedding Venue
It’s also a great venue whatever the weather. Whether you choose to go for a winter or summer wedding, the gardens look stunning all year round and are a great place for capturing relaxed shots of you and your guests. You can even opt for an outdoor ceremony in the summer if you really want to make the most of the gorgeous grounds.
Even in bad weather, there are so many great photo opportunities at Aswarby Rectory, with every inch of the inside of the venue looking like something out of a high-end interiors magazine.

Aswarby Rectory Wedding pictures opportunities
Whether it’s the iron roll-top bath in the main bedroom or the rustic, exposed brick fireplace in the ceremony room, not to mention the grand sweeping staircase, there are so many spots that lend themselves to really classy, elegant photos.
ASWARBY RECTORY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
I absolutely love shooting weddings here. As a wedding photographer I love venues that are bright and full of natural light – as these are key components to good wedding photos. I
Aswarby House feels romantic and non-traditional, but with a modern twist, spacious rooms and it works really well for couples from across the East Midlands, being within easy reach of both Nottingham and Lincoln.
When it comes to finding the right wedding photographer, having someone there that you connect with and like is as important as finding someone whose style you like. My process is honest, artful, and I create images with an editorial feel and if you like a chat, I’d love to hear about your wedding plans

Wedding Venues
ONE OF THE BEST WEDDING VENUES
This is probably not the place for those who want bling and glitz, but if understated style is your thing then it is absolutely worth considering. I would say it’s great for couples who love art and architecture and want a chic, classic look to their wedding photos.
Couples get exclusive use of this venue, which has eight bedrooms, and is surrounded by nine acres of grounds. Its owners, Donna and Richard, say their aim is for guests to feel as relaxed and at home as possible during their stay.
