Hey everyone! I want to tell you about this amazing, fun wedding I had the pleasure of photographing last summer. It was the wedding of Rosie and Jumanne, and it took place at the beautiful Walled Gardens in Beeston, Nottingham.
Before the wedding, I had the chance to capture some shots of the boys getting ready. They were excited and full of energy, which made the morning go quickly.
Then, I met up with Rosie and her bridesmaids. It turns out that Rosie and Jumanne met in London while they were at university, only to discover later that they had been neighbors all along in Nottingham. It’s funny how life works sometimes! And maybe there is no escape from what’s meant to be! ha!
The wedding ceremony was held outdoors in the middle of the garden. The garden looked stunning with cosmos flowers everywhere. It was a lovely setting, with the couple saying their vows surrounded by their friends and family. It was a truly special ceremony to photograph, finishing with a fun confetti walk!
After the confetti, we moved on to the wedding reception. During the reception, I had the chance to take Rosie and Jumanne away for some portrait shots. Let me tell you, these two were a dream to photograph. They were so relaxed and fun, which made my job a lot easier. I was able to capture some really beautiful images of just the two of them.
Next came the wedding breakfast, which everyone gathered to enjoy, and soon after came speeches. The speeches had everyone in stitches. Rosie and Jumanne are surrounded by people who love them and have a great sense of humor and don’t take themselves too seriously.
To end the day on a high note, there was some traditional Celidih dancing. It was a fun and lively way to wrap up the celebration.
I love photographing local weddings and the Walled Gardens in Beeston is one of those venues I enjoy weddings at. As a modern wedding photographer, I always enjoy capturing weddings outdoors, with a modern feel and general laid-back vibe.
Being a Nottingham wedding photographer, I feel lucky to have such amazing couples to work with, like Rosie and Jumanne. Their fun and easy-going nature made my job a joy. If you’re looking for a modern wedding photographer in the Nottingham area, get in touch with me here.
