Anna contacted me saying that she was planning a small and intimate wedding at Aswarby Rectory. I love small weddings – they have wonderful calm and charm about them.
Anna and Jack met during holidays in Greece and Jack got down on one knee at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree in New York, which was Anna’s dream come true moment!
From there Anna started to plan her wedding and let me tell you, her vision for flowers and decoration came together beautifully!
It was such a stylish wedding, in the most stunning Aswarby Rectory that fit the bill of being romantic, elegant and perfect to hold intimate wedding for 30 people. Anna and Jack didn’t want to have a theme wedding and decided on having the most spectacular flowers: beautiful fireplace and one long continuous display down the centre of the dining tableAnna ended up wearing two dresses during the course of the day, and I loved the fact that both of them were from high street fashion brands, with one being very different to the other. Anna decided to wear the sequin dress from ASOS for the ceremony and then changed into a Missguided gown for the meal and evening drinks.
I love intimate weddings and as Anna and Jack mentioned to me – your wedding should be making you happy – it doesn’t matter if you are opting for a big wedding for 200 people or small and unplugged with only the closest and dearest – it should always be what works for you the best because at the end of the day it’s your wedding.
