Inspiration comes in many forms and this time I fell in love with this Georgian new wedding venue set in the beautiful countryside of Lincolnshire: Aswarby Rectory.
It has an unusual countryside chic feel about it: its beauty is in its simplicity and carefully chosen furnishing and details. You feel it’s charm even before entering the house. I saw them on Instagram for the first time and just fell in love with this unusual wedding venue.
I contacted the owners and asked if I could photograph a wedding inspiration shoot at the venue and to my huge joy they said yes!
The inspiration behind this shoot was a rose quartz crystal which is also known as a stone of unconditional love. It carries soft feminine energy and it’s an important talisman of relationships and some believe is effective in attracting new love and romance. I wanted to capture romance that tapped into this cosmic energy, and reflect how lovers are attracted to one another when the stars align and when the energy and chemistry does its magic. The colour palette was inspired by the misty pink tint of the rose quartz stone and oh-so-trendy this year ultra violet.
I thought that the colour palette would work beautifully for romantic yet modern wedding inspiration pictures at Aswarby Rectory. My style is quite laid back and I wanted to keep the style of the shoot relaxed but feminine.
I invited a team of suppliers with similar styles to mine and we created this beautiful shoot that will soon be featured on Love My Dress.
