Different styled shoots start with different inspiration and this one started with a piece of tartan fabric! It was Esther who owns the Frock Shop in Nottingham that contacted me with the idea of making a dress from a tartan fabric she had acquired. I thought that this would make a perfect alternative wedding dress and as I want to get more into shooting elopements this was just calling for a shoot.
Esther and I had the same vision for styling: bare faced, messy hair, thick socks, boots, unusual flower bouquets that looked like they had been picked up from the fields, somewhere in a beautiful outdoor location. This was very me and very exciting so I begun planning and searching for right suppliers to join me on this shoot.
It turned out to be one of my favourite days this year: a crisp sunny autumn day away from the city with a lovely creative team. Claire from Headcase joined us with her amazing skill for styling, and Claire ensured that the models looked stunning all day, rocking the modern traveler style for this runaway wedding idea. For the first time we also had a videographer join us and his video can be view below the gallery. Enjoy – it’s a real treat for the eyes!
If you are considering elopement option for your wedding I would love to hear from you!
