A collaboration of rustic textures, organic design and passion to reminds us to go back to nature and help our love blossom.
I fell in love with the unique East Bridgford Hill when I visited the venue and learned about the homely feel, welcoming greetings from Hermes the dog and, of course the idyllic landscape framing the house.
It was when I learned that homeowner, Emma, had an incredibly interesting background in environmental filmmaking and wanted to reflect her ethos in how she ran the venue, that I knew true love was in the air. There was an instant connection in the way we wanted to encourage the wedding industry to be stripped back to warmth, nature and of course love.
A wedding is a celebration of love, and I believe the actions of your big day set you up for the rest of your married life together. The combination of a beautiful home, a unique ethos and an enchanting woodland was the perfect place to create a stripped back, natural and serene set up. It’s back to basics in an authentic and honest way.
The inspiration for the styled shoot came from wanting to show couples that you can pull back the glitz and the glam and enhance the natural seasons to make your big day completely bespoke and personal to yourselves. Homegrown flowers, foraged foliage, household items and sustainable styling can be the perfect foundation for building an outdoor wedding with an enchanting edge.
With so many character filled rooms at the venue, my eyes were spoiled with inspiration and personalised decor through each door. From rattan and botanical plants in the conservatory to decadent wallpaper and hat filled walls. Each room has its own magical story to tell.
Outside the venue a top table was styled with decadent china, quirky candle sticks and heaps of foliage from the woodland, with a bohemian macrame backdrop. The inspiration was to bring the inside outside in every sense.
The woodland at the venue is the perfect spot of outdoor weddings. With lights in the trees and even space for a tipi, I couldn’t imagine anything more magical than dancing under the stars in such a serene setting.
